Destiny means: the seemingly inevitable secession of events.
Mathew 24 The disciples ask Jesus , after He told them of the destruction of the 2nd Temple, what would be the sign of the end of the Age and the Coming Messianic Kingdom.
We see this in also in Luke 21… In Luke 21 Jesus tells them about these general sign that would be like birth pangs of the End of the Age…(Wars-Famines- Pestilence- Earthquakes) then He said the End is Not Yet!

Luke 21:19-25
He began to tell them how the 2nd Temple be destroyed, how Jerusalem would be controlled by the Gentiles and the people of Israel would be scattered into every nation… This happen in 70ad. And that Jerusalem would be trodden down until the Times Of the Gentiles are fulfilled… The Times Of The Gentiles… (see Romans 11)
But also with this Key Sign … He declared there would be accompanying Signs in the Sun, Moon And Stars!
Then in verse 29 of Luke 21 ….. and Mathew 24:32 Jesus says, learn the Parable of the FigTree… when his branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves you know that summer is near, so likewise when you see all these things know that it is near even at the door! Truly, I tell you this generation (that is those living at that definite period of time will not perish or pass away until all has taken place. Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away,..Amplified Bible)
The Parable Of The Fig Tree in in Luke 13:5-9
And also the Cursing Of The Fig Tree (Israel because it was not bearing fruit… it was not their time for fruit… their time to bear fruit is In the Messianic Kingdom… which begins after Daniels 70th Seven , the final 7 years of this age (Mathew 24:15) is in Mark 11:11-13…
So the Fig Tree (Israel) started to put forth leaves in 1948… and Jerusalem was trodden down of the Gentiles until 1967 when during the 6 Day War after 2000 years…. Israel was Reborn and Jerusalem is once again in the hands of the Nation of Israel… when you see this you know that the Messianic Kingdom is at the door…. then He says, the Generation that see this will not pass away until all thing come to pass! That Generation is now 70 years old as of 2018 …
